Description
“Itsis Marani” (according to the name of the village) is the ancestral winery of the Gurgenidze family. The growing demand brought the necessity of developing the household economy. Therefore, in 2019, a small enterprise corresponding to modern standards was built on the territory of the estate, which is equipped with the latest European winemaking equipment. At the same time, the old cellar and docks were reconstructed. The renovated farm also created the need for a name – the enterprise was named “Itsis Marani” LLC (in honor of the name of the village), and the trademark was the term “Bimbili”, which means grape seed. This name emphasizes that every grain in the wines of “Itsis Marani” is important, each of them is specially selected. It is also noteworthy that grapes for wine are harvested only from old vines, at least 25 years old.
The winery produces up to 40,000 bottles of different wines per year, which are made exclusively from local Rachuli and Lechkhumi grape varieties.
