A high-quality naturally semi-sweet red wine of controlled designation of origin is made from Alexandrouli and Mujuretuli grapes.
Description
Kankatela Winery takes its name from the term of endearment that its ancestors gave to the “pungent” characteristic of the local red wine grape (ie the thin but firm skin of the Alexandrouille). Kankateli vineyards are located in the Racha-Lechkhumi region of eastern Georgia, in the village of Akali (near Ambrolauri). Racha-Lechkhumi is best known for the production of Alexandroulis and Mujuretuli wines.
Kankatela – Khvanchkara – Georgia – 2022 Its vineyards are located just 10-15 minutes from the winery – this helps to keep the grapes fresh during transport. The result is the quality of fruit required to produce outstanding wine.
