Tchotiashvil – Rkatsiteli Reserve – Georgia – 2015

Tchotiashvil only uses grapes from his own vineyards in Saniore, Kakheti. “Limited Reserve” represents a small number of the best sample of a particular vintage. Each bottle is subject to strict control and can only be sold after the signature of the winemaker. Quantities are limited, each bottle has its own unique number. Rkatsiteli Reserve is Kvevari wine, which is made by traditional cachet technology. Maceration lasts 7 months on full grape skins and stems. Sulfites (SO2) are used only for pitcher disinfection. The vine of Rkatsiteli is more than 40 years old, it is located at the bottom of the Caucasus at an altitude of 480 m above sea level. The soil has a light mechanical structure (cordier carbonate sandy soil) and does not require irrigation.
