Kancatela Tvishi is a premium class white semi-sweet Georgian wine with indication of place of origin. The drink is obtained from Tsolikauri grapes. The raw material is grown in Tsageri municipality of Racha-Lechkhumi region, near the village of Tvish and Alpana. Agricultural land is located on the right bank of Rion River, 400 m above sea level.
In general, Tsolikauri is widespread throughout Georgia – this variety is especially loved by alcohol producers. But the taste characteristics of Tvish wine are not due to the berry variety itself, but to the place where they are grown. Racha-Lechkhumi has optimal conditions for growing sweet, juicy grapes. Not all Tsolikauri drinks have the right to bear the proud name “Tvish”. Made only from raw materials grown in precious Racha-Lechkhumi.
