68% MERLOT, 21% CABERNET SAUVIGNON, 11% CABERNET FRANC
Garnet in colour with purple highlights, fresh red fruits leap from the glass: strawberry, raspberry, blackcurrant, followed by green pepper and hints of undergrowth. On the palate, it is a wine of great potential: firm yet integrated tannins support a sweet black fruit profile and a finish that is velvety and smooth. This wine, whilst having the ability to age, can also be enjoyed now with red meat, game and cheeses.
Winter and spring were rainy. Only June was particularly sunny, allowing the flowering to happen in the best conditions. July and August were cold (an August average of 18.5°C against the usual 22.0°C), resulting in a late ripening. The weather conditions were perfect in September and October, dry weather and mild temperatures, allowing the grapes to ripen perfectly and the harvest to happen under the best conditions.
